MY NEW OLD MOBILE PHONE

I don’t know why, my android phone suddenly can’t be used. That phone died suddenly then bootlooping. Replace with a new android phone? Sorry, I am not interested in the new smartphone.

Then I remembered my old android phone, a Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070. Hopefully my old android phone can still be used and can support my activities. Let us pray together.

When viewed at a glance, CPU Dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9, GPU Mali-400, chipset NovaThor U8500 looks very outdated. When we look further, the amount of RAM on Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 just 768MB and OS update stops in 2.3.6 make that phone look very outdated. This mobile phone is sensible to rest quietly enjoying retirement together with his beloved children and grandchildren. How did it happen? Let’s find out together.

When we talk about human 3 years old is very young. For a human being, when they are 3 years old they are in the period of early childhood. This period’s often called the preschool period. In this period, humans learn more independent and take care of themselves, develop school readiness skills (follow orders, identifying letters), and spend countless hours playing with their friends. This period will end if they had entered primary school.

The period of human experience is very much different from that experienced by an object obtained from the advances in technology, particularly mobile phones (mobile phone, smartphone). If your mobile phone has a three year old it’s certain that your mobile phone’s already very old. The most obvious sign is the presence of sores all over its body. Battery life began to decline dramatically is also one other indication that must be considered.

Begin to appear a variety of health problems, such as force closed, slower response of that mobile phone, or other similar problems. In addition, that mobile phone is already not getting official OS updates in a long time resulting in retardation aesthetically. The user interface on the mobile phone is starting to look outdated, which raised my wish to turn to another mobile phone (although I have tried not to turn to other mobile phones). 

Latest OS update from my Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 stopping in 2.3.6 is quite disturbing. Somehow I couldn’t open PlayStore for installing new applications or just update the apps. Automatically, my Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 can only be used for phone calls, text messages, and open an internet via browser.

Then what will I do? Crying while lamenting the misfortune of living that I experienced? Blaspheme angrily to the people who responsible for it? Vent anger at all of the social media to Indonesian artists who bullyable? Or collecting online petition? I just pray to God to grant Him/Her justice and eased my way.

And, one night I as directed by the universe. Somehow, suddenly I stopped by to this link ->

It was like an answer from Him/Her. A tutorial is very easy to understand for people like me. The tutorial is like giving a longer life to my phone. An OS Jelly bean. Yes, Jelly bean, although it is already quite old and there are many typical bloatware from Samsung but it can still be used to access PlayStore. 

What is bloatware? According to the oxford dictionary, bloatware is an unwanted software included on a new computer or mobile device by the manufacturer. For a more detailed explanation you can ask google. Once you really understand it you can tell me. 

Finally all my problems resolved and I can use my mobile phone. But, after a few hours I operate OS Jelly bean on Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070, I was bored. I do not quite understand why. Perhaps because the user interface of the mobile phone is very similar to my old phone. 

Then without much thinking I immediately look for the latest OS for Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070. But unfortunately there are still many problems found in the latest OS. A frequent problem encountered is the delay wifi and video recording. Finally, With all due consideration I decided to use this OS 4.4.4 ->

Today is the day where everyone suddenly romantic. Just as the sale of goats and cows on the day of Eid al-Adha, in this day flowers and chocolates suddenly increased the number of sales. A day which sometimes can be a justification for people to behave unromantic outside this day.

The definition of romantic is conducive to or characterized by the expression of love. But, unfortunately in almost all the romantic words Identic with a spouse (girlfriend/wife/etc). Then, whether we can’t express the love to God, parents, or whatever it is?

Is there anything more romantic than running the command and away from the ban given by God? Is there anything more romantic than making parents happy? Or maybe, is there anything more romantic than optimizing the potential of your favorite gadgets?

Talking about favorite gadgets , does anyone know Sansa Clip Zip? 

Or maybe you are one of the user of this DAP (Digital Audio Player)? Sansa Clip Zip is one of my favorite gadgets. I forgot when I bought this DAP, probably around 2 or 3 years ago. I have no idea.

Sansa Clip Zip is one of the DAP ever released by sandisk. When we talk about sandisk, we are always reminded of the memory cards and USB flash drives. I don't know why, this brand suddenly released a DAP. Then, what are the advantages of this DAP? 

For the same audio quality, Sansa Clip Zip offers a fairly cheap price. So you will not be too sad if the DAP has been dropped, damaged, or lost somewhere. Sansa Clip Zip sizes are small so not too flashy like most DAP. There are so many advantages of the Sansa Clip Zip, I'm not going to explain one by one. STANPORTI: TRIPLE KILL, EPIC ENDING

Cycling enthusiasts are often reluctant to put the side stand on their bikes. This is because the impression gained when using the side stand on their bikes. It looks very strange if the bicycle is used according to its function (such as BMX and DJ used to perform a trick, DH used to race down the hill, or velobike used to achieve high speed, etc.) put the side stand. Unless, for example you use DH bike to go to buy something at the shop, or minimarket near your home (Well, I personally prefer to buy goods in the shop owned by an individual and traditionally managed than buying in the minimarket with an extensive network and managed professionally).

On a hot afternoon, as the sun there are nine pieces and everything was right above my head. Suddenly someone called me and congratulated me. But wait a minute, my birthday is still a long, my undergraduate theses at that time was not yet complete, I also never follow the lottery in any form. I'm not so interested in the gifts they give, I just want you.

Wait ...

Looks like I started to ramble and lose focus in writing. LOL

Okay, forget what I said, let's go back to the beginning of the subject.

After having congratulated me the person back to continue talking. The person said that my design was elected into the top 25 Djarum Black Innovation Award and the person asked me to do a presentation about my design to determine the design that will qualify the top 20. After listening to what she said, suddenly my mouth was locked and could not say anything. My feelings mixed into one, between happy, touched, proud, or I don’t know. I feel like hugging people who were next to me, but no one next to me. Finally I can only hug my smartphone (actually more accurately called grasping). T_T

Actually I had forgotten ever submit works in the Black Innovation Award this year due to my busy, busy life they call Undergraduate Theses. Once I remember again, I once sent a design that I do in less than one week, then I submit via email in the last seconds of the deadline. The design is presented as a means of refreshing when I was saturated in doing Undergraduate Theses. Design that was forgotten, then suddenly comes back with coolness in the heat of the day.

SOMETHING CALLED UNDERGRADUATE THESES

After approximately one year take time to implement something called "Undergraduate Theses", in the end I was able to finish it all. Had acute levels of stress, emotional instability, sleep chaotic, and various trials that I can not mention one by one. Increased consumption of caffeine and nicotine, and reduced playing time making it as a story that is interesting, funny, but sarcastic. When I remember the process of working on an undergraduate thesis, I like watching a dark movie comedy. LOL

A strange thing if for example there are people who say "the time passed so quickly, I suddenly had a graduation". For me, when working Undergraduate Theses time passed so long and very heavy, full of sacrifice, blood, and tears, until finally I said "hey, my undergraduate theses has been completed."

Thank you for all that has been supporting my Undergraduate Theses. Thank you to those who lent me a pickup truck to transport my model and display for Undergraduate Theses exibition. Thanks also to those who helped drive the car, with me mobilizing, working models and displays for those exhibitions. Without you my Undergraduate Theses will not be memorable.

GRIND EM' ALL, DESTROY YOUR FINGERS

Lately, I like to create and play wooden fingerboard. Actually, the activity originated from a limitation that I experienced when I want to play the fingerboard. The first limitation is that almost all of the fingerboard sold in this country (Indonesia) is a plastic fingerboard with techdeck brands (either original or fake). I do not particularly like to play with plastic fingerboard because according to my observations play wooden fingerboard has a satisfaction rate is far above the plastic fingerboard (the feeling when playing, weight, grip, sound from the board when popping, etc.). Especially when I watched a video on youtube about how to play the fingerboard.

The second limitation is if anyone is selling wooden fingerboard in Indonesia certainly at very expensive prices. Actually the price is not expensive if wooden fingerboard is made in Indonesia. Perhaps because wooden fingerboard that circulated in Indonesia still imported from abroad resulting shipping costs more than average, or perhaps because of the demand of wooden fingerboard were aplenty. It is certainly very tormenting students with the financial condition of below-average like me who want to have a wooden fingerboard (poor me).

Having experienced prolonged suffering I decided to contemplate and finally I experienced an epiphany. Without having to linger late into grief, I immediately share my experience and experimentation in making this wood fingerboard.

Tools and materials required in making wooden fingerboard are :

1. vinyl wood, a wood that is usually used in making mockups of buildings

2. griptape a.k.a sandpaper,

3. 2mm cardboard, as mall shape boards that will be used

4. wood glue, rajawali is a brand that’s usually familiar in Indonesia

5. stationery, try that spired like drawing pen, rapido, or mechanical pencil

6. The cutting tools, can use scissors or cutter

7. and the last and most important is the determination as strong as steel, and unyielding

How to make a wooden fingerboard:

1. form a pattern on cardboard 2mm, adjust the ergonomics of your fingers. Then cut to the pattern.

2. Please draw the pattern on wood vinyl as many as 6 to 8 pieces according to the thickness you want.

3. Please draw the appropriate pattern on sandpaper

4. Simply cutting vinyl wood and sandpaper follow the pattern

5. paste all using wood glue, shape of tail, nose, and curve

6. wait until the glue dry completely, and then let's destroy your fingers.
